How we review

What a review is for

Most people searching for a site or tool by name want one thing answered: is it worth my time, and is it safe? Our reviews answer that directly, with a verdict at the top, and then show the work.

What we check

1. The site itself. We visit it, use it as a normal visitor would, and note what it actually does versus what it claims.
2. Who runs it. Ownership, contact details, an about page, a privacy policy. Missing basics are noted, not assumed.
3. Trust signals. HTTPS, domain age where available, app-store listings, permissions requested, and what other people report.
4. Costs and catches. Pricing, free-tier limits, auto-renewals, ads, and what happens to your data.
5. The alternatives. Whether something better known does the same job with less risk.

What we say when we cannot verify something

We say so. Every review has a "what we could not verify" list beside the "what we verified" list, and the safety call has an honest fourth option, "could not verify", for when the evidence is not there. A confident verdict built on guesses would be worse than no verdict.

Dates matter

Sites change. Each review shows the date the checks were run, and that date is what search engines see as the last update. If a review looks stale, tell us and we will re-check it.

Independence

Reviews are written by our editors, currently GiggleName Editorial Team. They are never sponsored, never for sale, and links to the reviewed site are marked nofollow so a subject gains nothing from being reviewed. Guest and sponsored articles exist elsewhere on the site, are labelled as such, and are never reviews.
